    Job Description

  • Sorting, labelling, and preparing insect specimens for identification and analysis.
  • Assist with taxonomic identification of bee species and other insects.
  • Follow detailed protocols and manage and record samples with integrity.
  • Keep detailed laboratory notes.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, participate in meetings, and communicate clearly and professionally with other team members (in English or French).
  • Assist with data entry in Excel and other database software.
  • Persons other related duties as required, including assisting staff in processing inset specimens for museum storage.
  • Most duties involve prolonged sitting and repetitive tasks.
