Job Overview
We are currently looking to add a Journeyman or a 4th year Electric Motor System Technician to our Edmonton, AB location.
Reports to:
Foreman, Mechanical Shop
Shift:
Monday to Friday, 8 hours
Location:
Edmonton, AB
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation
Key Job Responsibilities
Diagnose problems in electric motor systems.
Repair of electric motors including the testing, dismantling and assembling all makes and models of electric motors.
Remove and replace, bearings, and other components, referring to blueprints or service manuals as required.
Balance armatures or rotors
Weld and braze or solder electrical connections.
Align and adjust parts to close tolerances in order to reassemble items.
Complete relevant repair paperwork.
Qualifications/Requirements
J ourneyman or 4th Year apprentice Electric Motor Systems Technician.
Experience with electric motor repair, including all aspects of the trade.
Good organizational and planning skills.
Hold a strong standard for quality and safety.
Have a team oriented approach and thought process.
Drive to achieve personal and organizational goals.
