Responsibilities:


Perform HVAC filter and belt replacement preventive maintenance and minor repair service work on plumbing, electrical, and various other building systems, utilizing third party vendors when necessary to maintain the properties in peak operational condition.

Identify energy savings opportunities at facilities including system and operational changes that can decrease the property's energy consumption.
The Building Operator performs routine building maintenance, minor plumbing, paint, and other tasks as necessary.

Building Operator must be able to independently plan work assignments, perform duties with a minimum of direct supervision, and assist as a helper in other trades and in the general maintenance and operation of buildings and grounds.

Position will be based in the GTA with a requirement to visit secondary location in Mississauga at least once weekly.


Possess hands on skills and knowledge to complete required repairs and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems (including, pumps, motors, air handlers) using industry standard tools and in accordance with all codes, laws, and regulations.

BAS experience will be considered a strong asset.
Strong electrical skills are an asset.
Possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to effectively manage diverse relationships with team members, contractors, building occupants and clients.
Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
High school graduate
Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle.


Working Environment:

Shift work may be required and on call is required on a rotational basis.
