Summary:
This position will be responsible to sell, promote and educate clients on the value and benefits of a newly introduced flooring system for industrial and commercial buildings.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for actively seeking, engaging customer prospects, and cultivating relationships to create and grow opportunities for the GripMetal industrial flooring business (Super Steel Flooring).
SSF is the strongest, yet thinnest and most eco-friendly flooring system revolutionizing the future of flooring.
In this role, the Sales Representative will establish strategies to target potential clients and customers positioning the appropriate SSF product solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships in the assigned market segment to generate new business.
- Reach out to new customers through networking opportunities, social media, and cold calling.
- Create and manage a customer value proposition for new and existing customers to generate interest in the product.
- Visiting and consulting with builders/building owners to introduce the product using samples and product literature/brochures.
- Generate weekly sales logs on visits including contact information on potential customers and followups required.
- Understand the architecture and design values of the floor system compared to other systems on the market.
- Manage inventory of samples and brochures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Strong presentation, networking, and negotiation skills
- Good judgment, problem solving and decisionmaking skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from community college or university or equivalent work experience
- Experience working in an outside sales role calling on a varied client base
- Flooring product knowledge preferred.
- Proven success selling to industrial or commercial clients
- Knowledge of specifications, design and phases required
- Strong understanding of construction, real estate, and job site conditions.

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
- Commission pay
Experience:
- Direct sales: 2 years (preferred)
- Industrial flooring: 3 years (preferred)
