4th Apprentice, and/or a Red Seal Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in commercial buildings and facilities.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan the layout and installation of plumbing systems.
  • Install and connect piping, fixtures, and appliances, such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and drainage systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues to identify the source of problems and provide effective solutions.
  • Inspect and test plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, or other malfunctions, ensuring compliance with plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on construction and renovation projects to ensure smooth coordination of plumbing work.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to carry out plumbing tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain and service plumbing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and follow best practices to minimize risks and hazards in the workplace.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, and explaining plumbing issues and repair options clearly.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, advancements, and changes in plumbing codes and regulations to maintain professional competence.

Key Requirements

  • Journeyman Plumber certificate issued by the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) or have an equivalent certification recognized by the province. Alternatively, a 4th year apprentice plumber with commercial experience.
years of relevant experience working as a Journeyman Plumber in commercial settings.

  • Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems in commercial buildings.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues efficiently and provide effective solutions to address problems.
  • Strong verbal skills to interact with clients, team members, and other tradespeople professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other trades and contractors on construction and renovation projects, promoting a harmonious and productive work environment.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in tight spaces, and standing for extended periods.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries, and explaining plumbing matters clearly and courteously.
  • Committed to adhering to health and safety guidelines, following proper procedures, and promoting a safe work environment for oneself and others.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license to travel to job sites and transport necessary tools and equipment.
