    The Asset Engineering Team Lead – Wapiti will be located at the Wapiti Gas Plant located near Grand Prairie, AB.

    This position will report to the Wapiti - G&P Engineering Area Manager who is responsible for maintaining a high performing field-based asset engineering team supporting operations and maintenance groups to maximize the profitability of our Gathering & Processing assets.

    The successful candidate will be an integral member of the site leadership team with accountability for managing engineering resources (including contractors) to support safe and efficient operation of the facilities and pipelines.

    The individual will lead multidiscipline teams and will be expected to work with a variety of stakeholders located both at the asset and in the Calgary office.

    Team Leadership - Day to day administration and career management for engineering team members.

    • Manage, prioritize, distribute and report on engineering team workload.
    • Manage the execution of engineering work within the asset.
    • Understand corporate and business drivers in relation to daytoday work, seek to understand the big picture and how our work supports it.
    # Member of the Plant Leadership Team - Evaluate and monitor engineering workload, ensure adequate and appropriate internal and external resources are assigned to the workload.

    • Be an active member of the plant leadership team to support facility direction, priorities, and improvements.
    • Ensure roles and responsibilities are outlined for individuals on the engineering team.
    • Contribute to development and approval of engineering and Opex budgets.
    • Support Business Development with advice on projects regarding the asset.
    • Attend and contribute to asset team and facility management meetings.
    # Engineering Working Team Lead - Complete engineering work including opportunity identification, design development, MOC ownership, turnaround support, professional authentication.

    • Provide design and engineering process oversight as an APEGA Responsible Member.
    • Engage in plant operation, monitoring, and performance management.
    • Review and sign offof engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and reports prepared by team members.
    Engineering degree from accredited university and registered as a Professional Engineer in good standing in Alberta. Ten (10) years experience in sour gas processing operations and/or facilities design. Broad understanding of engineering fundamentals across multiple engineering disciplines with technical focus on mechanical or process engineering. Skilled at work scope definition, work prioritization, and workload management across multiple customer groups. Skilled in management of change processes and procedures. Proven track record in applying process safety management fundamentals. Valid driver's license.
