How will you make an impact at BMC?
BMC Networks is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant in our downtown Vancouver office This is a 4-month contract position, reporting the CFO.
You will have the opportunity to be part of a positive and friendly team of IT professionals and take responsibility for maintaining the overall flow of office operations.
Together with our Office Manager, you will be the central point of contact for BMC for clients, vendors, and employees, contributing to the success of our business by providing exceptional customer service.
What will you do day-to-day?
You will be primarily responsible for greeting visitors, answering service calls and forwarding them to the appropriate individuals, picking up and ordering office and kitchen supplies, coordinating with building management, hosting weekly "Brewhaha" socials and monthly birthday celebrations, and providing backup for shipping and receiving.
What will you bring to the team?
You will bring strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to successfully engage and build relationships with people.
Some of the specific skills we are looking for include:
- At minimum, a high school diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with O365 (e.g., SharePoint, OneNote, Teams)
- Aptitude for learning new technologies
- Knowledge of basic office management practices and procedures
- Organizational, timemanagement, and problemsolving skills
- Attention to detail
- Resourcefulness
