MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)

VGH Skin Care Centre is looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join our busy office on a part-time basis, may lead to a full time position.

Education & Experience

Grade 1
Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant program

Knowledge & Abilities

Patient Registration, scheduling and processing of appointments
Cleaning and stocking of examination rooms
Seating patients
Billing, invoicing and cash handling
Business writing skills
Knowledge of EMR system (preferably Med Access) and proficient in typing
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory work relationships with clients and staff
Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with coworkers, clients and staff from other agencies
Ability to multitask with a focus on attention to detail
Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
Demonstrated skill in using a variety of office equipment and computer software programs
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Employment & Vaccination requirements

As per the current Public Health Orders, all employees must be fully vaccinated for Covid19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
Successful applicants will be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
