    As a Project Manager at EBC you will responsible for:
    • Review tender documents, the estimate, to determine the scope of work including scheduling and project planning;
    • Responsible for having a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the tender documents, drawings, specifications, addendums, and to assist the Site Superintendent in achieving the project success;
    • Provide leadership and to establish and maintain effective and harmonious relationships with clients, staff, subcontractors, consultants, and workers;
    • Inform Senior Project Manager of project development and discuss methods planned to meet schedule and budget;
    • Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Superintendent;
    • Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate cost forecasting;
    • Prepare daily reports related to the crew, progress, and issues;
    • Planning and monitoring the appointed projects;
    • Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFI's, NCR, etc.
    • Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-built;
    • Organize and participate in various meetings;
    • Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals, and the client;
    • Assist in carrying out a variety of basic field duties at the job site related to general construction;
    • Extensive traveling is to be expected;

    • Conduct daily site inspections and audits to identify compliance with expected practices and look for opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide safety-related information to Management, as required.
    • Audit to monitor for compliance and/or deliver general orientation for all new workers.
    • When conducting daily site inspections, identify hazards and suggest controls related to the various jobs, procedures, equipment and contaminants or particular situations.
    • Recommend appropriate means of accident and incident prevention to superintendent related to corrective actions required.
    • Assist in the development of project emergency response / evacuation plans specific for the Project.
    • Provide input to help resolve problems related to a specific concern.
    • Participate in official inquiries by Government Officials according to established rules and provide projects with guidance to comply with orders
    • Counsel management (superintendent, foreman) on the steps to take to meet the requirements.
    • Participate in the creation of project specific standards, methods and safety procedures.
    • Ensure the application and the follow-up of the OHS Management Program on site.
    • Maintain contact with workers and provide support to enable them to develop a positive safety culture on their projects.
    • Ensure consistency in expected safety performance on projects and verify that the progressive discipline system is being fairly and consistently applied on all projects.


    Requirements

    • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology;
    • Related job experience of 7-10 years in construction project management;
    • Previous work experience in Civil Engineering Construction, including bridges, infrastructure, tunneling, water/sewer, and/or heavy civil construction is required;
    • Advanced skills in communication and problem solving;
    • Initiative and leadership;
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and Bluebeam;
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;
    • Advanced skills in management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving;
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work;
    • Must be willing to work on various project sites within the region.
