THE CENTRE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION has the following anticipated vacancies for the FALL 2023 Semester - Network Administration AEC LEA.80 (Net-43) October 23, 2023 to January 12, 2024.

*Number of hours to be determined at a ratio of 5.5 hours per student registered in the course.

SECTION(S): one (1)

For Computer Science (420): Network Administration AEC

  • Bachelor's or equivalent
- degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years appropriate professional/industrial experience PREFERRED
  • Several years related teaching experience at the postsecondary level PREFERRED
  • Excellent English communication skills REQUIRED.
  • Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems
  • In addition to above:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Supervising staff and/or student interns in an IT work environment;
  • Ability to collaborate with all program stakeholders to achieve the goals of the internship;
  • Experience teaching in the program in a postsecondary environment PREFERRED.

RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO INTERNSHIP:

  • Inform the Program Coordinator of any internshiprelated problems (CNESST, absences, psychological harassment, etc.);
  • Monitor, and evaluate students' acquisition of the internship course competencies and provide relevant feedback;
  • Ensure that tasks and duties assigned to interns are programrelated and that the workload is appropriate:
  • Communicate with the internship host supervisor regarding student progress and industry trends;
  • Visit with the interns and their internship supervisor at the host company (onsite or virtual) for the purpose of evaluation;
  • Submit to Program Coordinator an internship report at the end of internship (synopsis of placements, issues encountered, points of interest including trends in industry, etc.);
