    Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)

    Job Duties Job Duties This position functions to provide all program support necessary for four distinct programs in the School of Nursing (Orientation to Nursing in Canada for Internationally Educated Nurses, Nursing Re-Entry, Diabetes Education for Health Care Professionals, and Diabetes Education for Health Care Providers programs).

    1) Coordination of clinical practice education experiences through a specialized software program (HSPnet).
    2) Tracks all clinical schedules for health science students in Saskatchewan .
    Documentation collection and maintenance – as per the SASHN clinical placement agreement which include certifications (e.g. CPR, First Aid, FIT testing, TLR) as well as criminal record checks and records of immunization.
    3) Track student's file to alert students, faculty, and the program head when a student's documentation is incomplete or expired.
    4) Liaise with individual RHAs to communicate and coordinate the requirements of all clinical practice education placements.
    5) Provide general program administrative support as required
    6) Provide support to meetings as required, including distributing agendas and recording minutes.
    7) Respond to inquiries from general public, students and faculty as required. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) 1.

    Grade 12 plus an Office Administration certificate or an equivalent combination of training and experience, which must include training and/or experience in minute taking.


    • Training and/or experience at the intermediate level in the use of common software packages, i.e. MS Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of common office procedures.
    • Two years recent and relevant experience performing administrative and clerical work.
    • Effective interpersonal skills.
