For over 20 years, Fero has been providing integrated waste collection, management, and recycling services.

We are widely recognized for being Friendly, Efficient, Reliable and On-time, and are proud to offer a full range of equipment to service the needs of our clients.

We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a Contractor Technician based out of Moncton, NB.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

General repairs to waste equipment such as compactors and balers.
Perform diagnostic checks on structure, electrical and hydraulic components.
Preventative maintenance inspections throughout New Brunswick.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

Previous working experience on machinery, including Hydraulics or electrical an asset.
Capable to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings and mechanical

blueprints to properly diagnose, repair and replace various parts and components

An acute attention to detail coupled with experience working with hand tools such as drills, grinders, wrenches, hammers, and measurement tape.
Strong verbal communication skills while maintaining professional appearance, positive attitude, and a safetyfirst mindset.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions yearround and wearing protective clothing while working in or near garbage, recycling, or compost material.
Welding or Millwright background would be considered an asset.
