What YOU Will Do


Under the supervision of the Senior Project Director, the position holder primarily serves as a reference for the execution of construction projects within their division.

Specifically, they coordinate all human and material resources required to successfully complete projects, in collaboration with superintendents, project managers, and other key stakeholders for each project.

Roles and Responsibilities

Operations

  • Provide leadership and implement a safety culture by promoting best practices on each project.
  • Support and advise superintendents at various construction stages throughout the projects.
  • Participate in organizing the supply chain for different construction sites and assist in establishing equipment lists in collaboration with logistics teams and the superintendent.
  • Participate in selecting and establishing appropriate work methods based on the tasks to be performed.
  • Coordinate equipment movements between different construction sites.
  • Collaborate with project directors and project managers in cost monitoring.
  • Participate in various preconstruction stages (methods, strategies, inventories, etc.) by providing expertise.
Workforce

  • Establish labor needs at the beginning of the project and throughout the work's completion.
  • Coordinate labor movements between different construction sites.
  • Identify future labor needs (workforce planning) and find innovative solutions to address them (recruitment pipeline).
  • Maintain regular contact with key resources to sustain their engagement.
Training

  • Support the training of new superintendents, foremen, and site personnel, acting as a mentor to them.
  • Identify current and future training needs and act as a content expert in collaboration with the Project Leader
  • Site Development.
Relations

  • Act as an ambassador for Pomerleau's values.
  • Support superintendents in their relationships with clients, subcontractors, various specialties, and other trades.
  • Participate in dispute resolution in collaboration with superintendents and project directors.
  • Ensure the maintenance of harmonious working relationships with various stakeholders (unions, CNESST, RSS, etc.) and, if applicable, consortium partners.
  • Conduct regular visits to construction sites.

What YOU Will Bring

  • Hold a Diploma (DEP) in a constructionrelated field or equivalent training.
  • Have more than 15 years of experience in construction projects (civil and infrastructure), with at least 8 years as a superintendent on largescale projects.
  • Possess excellent skills in project planning and coordination.
  • Master the reading of plans and specifications. Be a recognized leader with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Be mobile to support civil and infrastructure team projects throughout the province of Quebec.
