    Senior CNC Setter (Operator/Programmer)
    Mississauga Day Shift
    Full-time
    $40-$42/hr
    Benefits


    • Red Seal Certified Machinist (if possible)
    • Solid Communication Skills (solid English written and spoken, not afraid to speak out)
    • Strong Mathematical skills – can calculate points in 2D and 3D space to generate tools paths, geometry, etc
    • Can generate programs from supplied drawings \ models at a strong pace (using first principles or supplied electronic tools (mastercam, mazitrol, etc)
    • Ability to generate Tooling Layouts (what tool goes where and why, tool length and why, etc)
    • Attention to Detail (reading blueprints\drawings, measuring parts, understanding of how the parts are used, pride in quality, etc)
    • Practical Knowledge – understanding how a CNC machine functions and its basic components (from cutting tool to controller)
    • Problem Solving – understanding issues with machining clearances, machining quality, etc
    • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team when needed.
    • Computer literate
    • Tooling – strong understanding of tooling and tooling related issues (holder types, tool maintenance, tooling related issues, importance of clean tooling)
    • Spatial acuity – solid understanding of 3d space
    • Basic CNC Machine Maintenance – oil, greasing, cleaning, coolant changes, tool changes etc
    • Strong Knowledge of Materials – metals, plastics, etc
    • Knowledge of lathe work (multi-spindle at a minimum, spindle types, 5 axis milling, etc)
    • 7-13 years experience
