Short Summary:


As the first point of guest contact, this position is responsible for explaining all of the ticket packages that CN Tower has to offer during a guest visit, and to assist with decision making and direction to ensure that guests have the best possible visit at CN Tower and in the city.

Deliver information and recommendations on all CN Tower products and services;
Present a professional image to all visiting guests and act as CN Tower and Toronto ambassador (including providing information about the City of Toronto and surrounding areas, with knowledge on current events);
Execute role in specific area of responsibility with demonstrated quality focus and delivery;
Interact with visitors and ensure an interactive and entertaining visit, while managing proper guest flow;
Assist guests with kiosk transactions and the verification of tickets;
Ensure delivery of all attraction ticket sales (including group sales) as per CN Tower service excellence standards;
From time to time, this position will produce various reports, perform various administrative tasks and assist management with other tasks as needed;
Assist with administration of various marketing promotions and sales incentives;
Cashiers also direct our guest flow and operate various greeting and elevator positions.

This position will also serve as a liaison to various departments (including but not limited to, Guest Services, Food and Beverage ("F&B"), EdgeWalk, Sales and Marketing, Reception, Reservations, Facilities and Engineering, Technical Services, and Finance) as required.

Ensure that each guest interaction meets the Company's service excellence standards by providing a friendly environment (including greeting and acknowledging every guest), maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of guest servicing
Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
Accurately and efficiently operate point of sales ("POS") system and accurately maintain all cash at the till and secure handling of cash equivalents
Employ counterfeit measures to ensure that all cash (Canadian and American), debit cards, credit cards, corporate cheques, vouchers and gift certificates are verified and authentic
Process all group sales ticketing on site
Take and process ad hoc group reservations, under parameters set by Group Sales department
Provide guests with detailed information on CN Tower products and services, liaise with 360 Restaurant for dining reservations, liaise with EdgeWalk for reservations and accurate information on services; provide communication to Guest Services staff as required


Qualifications:

Admissions/Box Office sales experience is an asset
Hospitality and tourism education and/or a secondary school diploma is an asset
Retail loss prevention, group sales and/or hospitality and tourism experience and/or education is an asset


Working Conditions:


  • Interacts with employees, management and the public at large.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts, which includes but is not limited to evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
  • Excellent guest services skills with an ability to recommend the CN Tower products.
  • Department uniforms are provided to protect personal clothing from wear and damage.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions (including but not limited to cold and hot weather)
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of the day.
