Duties and responsibilities that you can expect to focus your efforts on:
- General correspondence and filing
- Preparation of Bank reconciliations A/R and A/P
- Calculation, reporting and filing of GST/QST reports, payroll and DAS and issues related to
- Ability to travel to clients on a regular basis
- Monthly and annual bookkeeping services using computerized bookkeeping systems
- Preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts and completing monthend closings
- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
- Communicating with clients & government
- Working at our office and at clients' premises
- Other related tasks
Position Requirements:
What you will need to succeed**:
- AEC, DEP or DEC in Accounting, accounting firm experience preferrable
- 3 years of experience in a similar position
- A high level of proficiency with Quickbooks and Quickbooks Online (QB online) is a requirement
- Experience with multicurrency and multicompany accounting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English)
- Proven organizational skills
- Particular and constant attention to detail with superior active listening
- Time management
- Analytical ability
- Willingness and curiosity to continue learning
- Communication skills to engage with staff, clients, and financial authorities
