The team is responsible for audit and advisory engagements related to corporate governance and non-financial risk governance and management, namely on the following cross-functional topics:

  • Corporate governance, risk appetite and enterprise-wide risk management (EWRM)
  • Strategic, financial, capital and funding planning
  • Governance of subsidiaries
  • ESG governance, risk management and opportunities
  • Data strategy, governance, and risk management
  • Governance and management of business continuity, operational risks, model risks and climate risk
  • Governance of global and variable compensation
  • Human risk governance, talent management, culture and inclusion & diversity
As a lead auditor, you will be responsible for leading some of these engagements with a team of auditors and for contributing to larger mandates


Your role:

  • Understand the Bank's strategic and business objectives and develop an overview of governance and risk management mechanisms across the Bank (committees, policies, roles and responsibilities, practices, oversight and accountability)
  • Establish the audit strategy to assess the maturity and effectiveness of governance and nonfinancial risk management mechanisms and, where applicable, compliance with regulatory requirements, while taking into account risk appetite
  • Maintain a relationship of trust with partners from other sectors
  • Analyze the problems encountered, identify the root causes in cooperation with relevant partners and support them in the identification of innovative and realistic solutions to eliminate the causes of the problem
  • Present your conclusions and recommendations to the relevant executives and managers and write the audit or advice report or contribute to its drafting for larger mandates

Competencies required:

  • Bachelor's degree related to the industry and ten (10) years of relevant experience or a Master's degree related to the industry and seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in auditing or consulting on topics related to corporate governance mechanisms and nonfinancial risk governance and management and or nonfinancial risk management
  • CPA designations, an asset
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations and working on several files simultaneously
  • Demonstrated relational leadership and ability to ensure effective partnership with stakeholders as well as capacity to persuade partners
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to simplify and synthesize information
  • Agile, resultsoriented, and able to work in a multidisciplinary team of experts
  • Ability to solve complex problems and demonstrate innovation
  • Curiosity and strong learning capacity
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will frequently interact with service providers or partners who speak a language other than French
