Project Manager - Ottawa, Canada - Atwill-Morin Structure

Description

Seeking a Project Manager for continuous, FULL-TIME employment in Ottawa, Ontario. Start immediately.

This is a rare opportunity to work with a team that maintains and preserves some of the most important and historically significant buildings in Canada.

Minimum five (5) years experience in a construction-related industry, with preference given to stonemasonry project experience.


You must be able to:
Plan, organize, direct and control assigned construction projects and schedules.
Prepare and maintain project budgets and contract documents.
Determine and obtain the permits required for project implementation.
Coordinate and manage occupational health and safety prevention.
Track costs and additional work, and initiate correspondence regarding contract changes.
Interact with other departments to ensure proper accounting and invoicing.
Maintain project database.
Any other duties related to the position.


Qualifications:
Sound decision making, prioritization. and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Have worked on five (5) construction projects concurrently.
Have worked on at least three (3) construction projects with project values over $1,000,000.00.
Ability to read project documents and quotations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Maestro preferred.
Possess training in WHMIS, Working at Heights, H&S awareness (4 step).
Excellent ability to work in a team, demonstrating proactivity, organization and professionalism.
Ability to obtain a Public Works security clearance required.
