Associate Scientist - Chemistry (Vancouver)

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform synthetic chemistry (executes, troubleshoots, designs) to provide chemical compounds in support of adMare projects (typically mg to 100 g scale)
Assist in the coordination of the daytoday operations of the synthetic chemistry lab, including the maintenance and good operation of equipment
Conducts analysis and interpretation of drug design data and maintains lab records
Prepares and presents reports and technical presentations
Prepares, reviews and updates lab procedures as required
Other related duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

PhD (with 05 years postdoctoral or industrial experience) or MSc (with 5+ years of related experience) in synthetic chemistry is required
Experience with synthetic organic chemistry in a medicinal or process chemistry environment
Industry experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to carry out multistep syntheses to produce required quantities of compounds of a given purity with defined timelines
Ability to work on more than one project at a time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, independent thought, and ability to effectively collaborate with others with multiple scientific disciplines.
