Associate Scientist - Chemistry (Vancouver)

Job Summary:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform synthetic chemistry (executes, troubleshoots, designs) to provide chemical compounds in support of adMare projects (typically mg to 100 g scale)
  • Assist in the coordination of the daytoday operations of the synthetic chemistry lab, including the maintenance and good operation of equipment
  • Conducts analysis and interpretation of drug design data and maintains lab records
  • Prepares and presents reports and technical presentations
  • Prepares, reviews and updates lab procedures as required
  • Other related duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:


  • PhD (with 05 years postdoctoral or industrial experience) or MSc (with 5+ years of related experience) in synthetic chemistry is required
  • Experience with synthetic organic chemistry in a medicinal or process chemistry environment
  • Industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to carry out multistep syntheses to produce required quantities of compounds of a given purity with defined timelines
  • Ability to work on more than one project at a time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, independent thought, and ability to effectively collaborate with others with multiple scientific disciplines.
