As a local partner with global presence, Coquitlam Ridge Constructors (a subsidiary of VINCI) is currently seeking an experienced
Project Manager (PM) to join our structures team based in Port Kells, Surrey.


JOB PURPOSE


This position's primary function is to take a leading role in both the procurement and execution of bridge and bridge-related construction projects.

During the procurement phase, the PM assists in the preparation and submission of estimates, Tenders, and Proposals. During the construction phase, the PM plans, coordinates, and supervises field staff, subcontractors, and craft activities for their project(s).


In addition to managing the project schedule, budget and cost control, the PM maintains liaison with clients, stakeholders, and internally with CRC's supporting departments.


KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively participate in the maintenance and improvement of CRC's safety system
  • Participate in CRC's systems for excellence in quality and environmental protection
  • Assist with the preparation of quantity takeoffs, estimates, and RFQ's
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of Tenders and Proposals
  • Actively participate in the negotiation and execution of contract agreements
  • Complete internal job setup process in CRC's SAP ERP system
  • Create and maintain project CPM tracking schedules
  • Oversee the development of projectspecific plans
  • Issue / negotiate subcontracts and purchase agreements
  • Manage materials/equipment procurement leadtimes
  • Oversee project submittal process
  • Assist with construction engineering plans
  • Complete monthly Progress Estimates for billing
  • Manage Change Orders and Extra Works
  • Maintain project Revenue Projections
  • Complete monthly CosttoComplete budget updates in ERP system
  • Chair and minute project meetings
  • Oversee projectlevel Quality Management Plans
  • Assist in dispute resolution
  • Assist with allocation of resources
  • Assist with hiring and development of employees
  • Attend weekly interdivisional coordination meetings

SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Skills:_

  • Written and verbal communications
  • Computers and technology (MS Office suite, B2W, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SAP, Topcon)
  • Analytics
  • Knowledge:_
  • Working understanding of the estimating process
  • Fundamental understanding of structural construction processes
  • Familiarity with MoTI and MMCD Specifications and Contracts
  • Experience:_
  • Minimum 10 years experience in structural construction industry
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Project Management role

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Project Management Training (PMP or equal)

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicant must possess a valid Class 5 BC driver's license.
  • Applicant must be comfortable working at heights, accessing workareas via ladders and scaffolding, and be able to safely walk over uneven and sloping terrain in all weather conditions.
  • Applicant's lifestyle must be flexible to managing workload to meet deadlines and be open to working remotely with some travel, if required.
