    ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Software Engineer / Technical Lead role involves responsibilties across a variety of disciplines involved in the engineering of our web-based and mobile app software. Key responsibilities include:

  • Web and mobile applications architecture, design, development, testing and documentation,
  • Identifying and implementing creative solutions to challenging problems,
  • Optimizing and streamlining software development and testing lifecycle,
  • Implementing and supporting cloud-computing delivery systems.

    SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with being the technical lead on a complex, multi-tier web application
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and apply advanced mathematical and data processing methods

    TECHNOLOGIES

  • Broad and deep understanding of technology in general
  • Familiarity with many languages, frameworks and tools including C++, Python, Kotlin, Swift, Javascript/Typescript, Laravel, Jquery, Svelte, CSS, as well as third-party packages
  • Collaborative Interface Design Environments
  • Server and Database technologies - Mongo, Redis, MySQL, REST APIs, Linux, Cloud-computing
  • Machine Learning methods and tools
  • API Familiarity: Zoom, Youtube, Spotify, Google Maps, PayPal, Stripe, Mailchimp, Strava, Garmin Connect

    SOFT SKILLS

  • Understanding of exercise physiology including high-intensity interval training
  • Familiarity with training methods using cycling power meters and heart rate monitors
