Position Summary

Work Environment


The work environment includes colder temperatures, congested and high traffic areas, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and handcarts.

The associate may occasionally work in high and precarious places.


Essential Duties

  • Maintain a safe work environment to enforce health and safety policies and regulations in the workplace
  • Coach, lead, and mentor all warehouse employees (receivers, pickers, loaders, forklift reach drivers) to ensure compliance on company standards and processes
  • Utilize all employees on shift to ensure operational schedules are met
  • Foster communication and teamwork among staff to ensure accomplishment of operational goals
  • Manage all warehouse employees and ensure conflicts are resolved appropriately
  • Engage fellow associates by leading preshift meetings, addressing complaints, providing recognition, and resolving problems (with the assistance of their manager as appropriate)
  • Oversee the receiving of goods, putaway into pallet storage, as well as loading into trucks and shipment
  • Work with the dispatch team to control traffic on the shipping dock
  • Manage special deliveries for key accounts and ensure all processes are adhered to at all times prepare order by gathering product onto pallet, pick best quality product, etc.
  • Maintain and distribute weekly warehouse staff schedule
  • Evaluate staffing needs to meet daily, weekly, and seasonal volume swings
  • Coordinate waste, corrugate, and pallet pick ups with vendors
  • Schedule facility maintenance and direct resolution to equipment issues (preventative maintenance, appointments with repair technicians)
  • Perform training with all new hires picking paths, order picking, forklift reach operations (putaway, replenishment), and communicate company policies within the warehouse
  • Operate Produce Pro software and all sub menus
  • Assist managers with the hiring process of associates
  • Required to work overtime, if requested
  • Perform other duties as required

Basic Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of WMS experience
  • One (1) year data entry experience
  • Three (3) years of warehouse experience
  • One to three (13) years in a fastpaced multitasking role
  • High School diploma or G.E.D
  • Forklift licence
  • Proven experience working with produce or food in a distribution/warehouse environment
  • Computer experience using spreadsheet software

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for extended periods of time, bend, reach, push, pull, squat, turn body, and walk
  • Lift and move cases of product up to 50lbs
  • Must have the ability to talk and hear; hear warning horns on moving machinery and equipment
  • Comfortable working in a cold environment

Working Days & Hours

  • Alternating 5 days or 6 days every other week (including weekends depending on buisness needs)
  • 7:00am start time (shift end time varying on business needs)

$23.00 per hour
