PURPOSE STATEMENT


The Human Resources Manager's is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating policies, procedures, and programs for the following areas: associate/labor relations, training and development, leave management, recruitment, wage and salary administration, and benefit plan administration.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
Creates & leads in executing strategies which align with Rich Products Corporation and/or site-specific objectives. Participate as member of project teams supporting Human Resources and overall company priorities.
Partners with the Steering Team to create and implement strategies and programs which drive increased associate engagement. Serves as an advisor and confidant for the Plant Manager.

Provides coaching and guidance to assist the Plant Manager with performance management and development for the leadership team based on talent placement and succession plans.

Leads in associate relations issues (investigations, disciplinary actions for cause, etc.).
Responsible for working with leaders on associate Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
Represents company with appropriate legal counsel in various legal proceedings.
Ensures leaders understand the importance of and follow the performance management process. Ensures timely completion of objective setting and performance reviews. Helps leaders ensure performance is properly documented within the review and objectives are written appropriately.
Ensures hourly associates are assessed per the location's formal process.
Partners with leaders for associate development opportunities. Identify and provide leadership training opportunities.
Ensures onboarding process gets completed and new hire orientation is scheduled in partnership with the hiring manager. Provides a positive associate experience for all new associates.
Reviews local compensation for hourly positions annually or as needed, identify concerns and partner with leadership to address.
Provides guidance and support on annual Compensation Planning process.
Responsible for ensuring headcount meets budget and new headcount receives proper approval.
Responsible for ensuring higher level payroll issues and manual check requests are completed when necessary.
Ensures data integrity through HRIS audits.
Answers basic benefits questions.
Manages associate leave of absence requests.
Drives associate communication which supports Rich Products Corporation and the site's needs.
Union plant - Responsible for establishing and maintaining a relationship with the local union representatives. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Handles grievances in partnership with leadership.
Coaches department leaders in handling various disciplinary actions and attendance issues with associates. Participates in disciplinary or termination proceedings.
Attends seminars and/or classes to keep abreast of changes in the legal and human resources arena.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field strongly preferred. Masters degree desirable.

Sound knowledge of all phases of Human Resources gained through a minimum of 5 years of experience as a generalist in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Minimum of 5 years union Management experience is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with high volume non-exempt recruiting.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of legal regulations.
Personal leadership skills.
Previous managerial experience preferred.
Understanding of human resource processes and knowledge (i.e. Employment Law, Recruitment, Selection, and Retention, Associate Relations, Compensation).
Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
