    Description

    Unifi, the largest aviation services provider in North America, is seeking to make immediate hires on our Supervisor team in YYC, overseeing aircraft towing and movements. The Tow Team Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe movement of the airline partner's aircraft and will work closely with our Dispatch Coordinators, Duty Managers, and fellow Supervisors, to ensure all assigned tasks are completed, meeting our operational performance metrics. There is a strong emphasis on safety, operational excellence, and guest experience.

    Pay: $29.98/per hour

    Essential Functions

    • Lead a team who are responsible for:
      • Aircraft movement on the airfield and the airline partner's hangars.
      • Responsible for safety of aircraft and personal while towing.
      • Updating task status using Unifi's allocation software.
    • Delegate and prioritize aircraft movement with the support of Dispatch Coordinators, Supervisors, and Duty Managers.
    • Lead safety briefings and conduct risk assessments.
    • Conduct quality inspections.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the Tow Team on your shift, ensuring all movements are completed safely and on-time.
    • Ensure Pre-Operational Inspections for all equipment used during the shift are completed.
    • Ensure aircraft has the equipment required once parked.
    • Liaise with the customer's control center to ensure aircraft movement priority is met.
    • Liaise with the customer's technical operations team to ensure they have aircraft moved to/from the hangars.
    • Coordinate a fleet of towbarless tractors, ensuring they are cared for and the essential maintenance checks are arranged.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Must hold a current YYC D/A AVOP.
    • Must be able to obtain a YYC DDT Permit.
    • Must be able to obtain a Radio Operator Certificate.
    • Must be able to pass brakeride training.
    • Must hold a fully cleared Restricted Area Pass.
    • Recognize and action challenges that may arise promptly and efficiently.
    • Ability to work shift work, including weekends, AM/PM.
    • Must be able to communicate by radio, telephone, etc.
