WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Direct and manage a project team on development from beginning to end of project.
  • Works collaboratively with Estimators on project budgets and schedules.
  • Create clear and attainable project objectives and develop regularly scheduled project updates.
  • Assist field operations employees with onsite challenges and support through the field operations supervisory team.
  • Direct field operations in executing project tasks according to the schedule.
  • Determine and assess project labour needs and scheduling.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to Site Superintendents and stakeholders in a timely, professional manner and on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage and assist all Site Superintendents in coordinating the work of labour and subcontractors.
  • Prepare, organize and keep all project correspondences current in the respective project files.
  • Check, review and approve all invoices / progress claims for correct quantity, unit price, percentage of work performed and code invoices, and assist in preparing progress reports.
  • Deliver projects in a safe, timely, profitable manner while maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Provide strong leadership and management to the team while focusing on project objectives and in adhering to the standard policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with internal clients to ensure a team approach to project delivery.
  • Source, select, and qualify the hiring of employees and develop and retain talent.
  • In collaboration with Safety Manager, manage and model site safety having zero tolerance for safety infractions.
  • Participate in Quality Control meetings, developing cost effective delivery techniques.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience and understanding of the construction industry; and
  • Minimum of five (5) years of construction Project Manager experience.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist or Project Management Professional (PMP) considered an asset.
  • Experience managing projects in excess of $10 million.
  • Demonstrated skills in management, and effective decisionmaking capabilities.
  • Strong project execution experience with focus on planning, scheduling, cost, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
