ANNE'S Language House (ALH) is looking for a qualified and experienced English teacher who has passion and skill to teach English to international students to improve their English.

ALH is a private ESL school with small-sized classes to ensure every student actively participate in class.

This position is for teachers who can cover a main teacher's position due to a vacation, sick leave, other emergency reasons, etc.


Applicants must have:

TESL Canada Level One Professional certification or the equivalent:


  • A minimum of 1-year teaching experience as an ESL teacher:
  • A Passion for teaching
  • Great communication skills to nonnative English speakers
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding students from various cultures and backgrounds
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent conversational and written skills
  • Basic computer skills

Job Type:

Salary:
$21.00-$23.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Calgary, AB T2P 0Z5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:


  • ESL teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • TESL Canada, CELTA or the equivalent (required)
