D U T I E S
The Administrative Assistant performs a wide-range of responsibilities ensuring effective and
efficient management support and assistance. The incumbent provides administrative support to
the Manager, Indigenous Student Supports & Partnerships, the Indigenous Student Support team,
Instructors, students, and our community partners to develop collaborative relationships ensuring
support is delivered in a proactive and timely manner. Acting as the Management's initial contact
for issues related to student supports, partnerships, students, staff and industry, the incumbent
interacts on a daily basis with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and responds to
issues of varying complexity. Confidentiality and decorum are required in all aspects of this role.

  • R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
  • Formal education in office or business administration. An equivalent combination of training
- and experience in administration or business may be considered
  • Significant experience providing support and performing office administrative responsibilities
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with all stakeholders
  • Must exercise tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with all clients
  • Planning, organizing and coordinating skills
  • Time management skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Problem solving, decision making skills, and analytical skills and the ability to deal with issues

  • The ability to effectively manage detailed work assignments
  • Must demonstrate integrity and empathy when interacting with clients
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal communication skills
