Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton and Customer Solution Centres located in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

We are currently recruiting for an
Inventory Controller to join our Edmonton team.

Inventory Controller will be responsible for assisting the Inventory Manager as well as ensuring the accuracy of our inventory levels and ERP information in our Manufacturing facilities and Customer Solution Centers.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Working within our Inventory Management System to meet organizational objectives
  • Actively bring awareness to deficient inventory management processes
  • Plan/supervise/schedule/execute physical inventory counts and auditing subinventories while continuously improving inventory control policies and practices.
  • Maintain our ERP system (Infor Syteline) with regard to inventory
  • Oversee the processes for inventory tracking in our CSCs, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Implementation, maintenance and audit of inventory processes/procedures and controls to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained at all times.
  • Coaching and mentoring of staff to support appropriate inventory management practices
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate stock
  • Coordinate and submit timely and accurate inventory control data and analysis for Monthly/Annual Materials Management.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of warehouse excess and conduct a formal inventory at least twice annually.
  • Manage a cycle count program across the organization with the goal of eliminating annual inventory counts.
  • Utilize inventory control measures for cycles of incoming and outgoing orders with relevant partners.
  • Identify and address slow moving/dead stock with appropriate business leaders (purchasing/sales/warehousing) to ensure sufficient inventory turns within A/R cash cycle (turns within turns)

Primary Qualifications Required:


  • Min 5 years' experience in a similar role in a Manufacturing Industry preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Outlook, Access and Excel skills
  • Experience using established problemsolving/process improvement methodology, i.e. Lean or Six Sigma Green/ Black belt certification preferred.
  • Experience in a multicompany, multilocation environment is required
  • College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Considerable knowledge of laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to inventory management practices.
  • Strong writing skills for creating reports, correspondence, contracts, requests, bids, and other documentation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories.
  • Strong forecasting ability with solid analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
  • Knowledge of and implementation experience of electronic barcode/RFID inventory systems/accounting procedures.
  • Previous experience with cycle count programs
