As a Senior Fire Alarm Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients by performing inspections, repairs, and installations of fire alarm systems and related equipment.Qualifications
  • -Program Advanced Panel Functions
  • -Program Advanced Logic Equations
  • -Delegate Personnel for Site Objectives
  • -Small and Large Scale Project Competent
  • -Network System Competent
  • -Communication with Installing Electrician
  • -Communication with Site General Contractor
  • -Wire Internal System Components Properly (neat)
  • -Build And Install Internal System Components
  • -Competent To Troubleshoot Field Wiring (all circuits)
  • -Assess Panel Troubles for Cause/Solution
  • -Special Hazards and releasing systems knowledge and programming (CO2, Deluge, Pre-Action, Foam, Clean Agent such as NOVEC 1230 or INERGEN or FM-200 etc.)
  • -Advanced detection with Notifier, VESDA, OSID, SWIFT etc.
  • -Candidate must be CFAA registered for 5+yrs.
  • -Factory training is required
  • -Strong command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • -Ability to prepare thorough reports and inspection documentation.
  • -Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word.
  • -Polite and respectful demeanor when interacting with customers and co-workers.
  • -Knowledge of CAN/ULC-S536 and monthly inspections on fire alarms, extinguishers, hoses, and emergency lighting systems.
  • -Familiarity with CAN/ULC-S537, OBC, OFC, and installation practices.
  • -Experience in completing fire-related repairs from deficiency lists.
  • -Ability to train Junior Technicians and trainees.
  • -Willingness to use and wear required equipment, protective devices, or clothing.
  • -Willingness to assist Senior Technicians with fire alarm system retrofits and installation work.
  • -Strong organizational skills for preparing and submitting work orders, inspection reports, and other paperwork.
  • -Willingness to assist with wire pulling within fire alarm control panels for retrofit and installation projects.
  • -Commitment to obtaining Continuing Education (CE) Credits from CFAA annually to maintain registered fire alarm technician status.
  • -Availability for "On-Call" work during After-Hours, Weekends, and Holidays for emergencies if required. Double time and 4 hours of lieu time is offered when on-call for a weekly rotational basis with the DASC team.
