The Position:


As a member of the Finance Team, The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for performing daily accounting and finance related tasks including but not limited to: managing financial transactions, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.

What You Will Do:


  • Manage day to day accounts payable processes, including receiving, reviewing, and processing vendor invoices
  • Maintain organized and uptodate file systems for invoices, purchase orders, and payment records
  • Reconcile payments with invoices and ensure accuracy in financial records
  • Process vendor payments in a timely manner, adhering to payment terms and company policies
  • Investigate and resolve queries through the reconciliation of accounts and process adjustments
  • Develops strong relationships with both internal and external customers (i.e. within the Finance department, other departments, and vendors)
  • Assist the Finance department with filing invoices, matching POs, and verifying billing
  • Assists with the ongoing development of AP processes
  • Other tasks as required

What You Bring:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance or the equivalent
  • Minimum two years of Accounts Payable or related experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment an asset
  • Strong computer skills, ability to learn new software, manage multiple databases, including MS Office Suite
  • Proven analytical / quantitative skills
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate with different departments
  • Thrives in a high volume and fast paced environment with overlapping priorities and deliverables
  • Ability to prioritize workload, understand a sense of urgency and effectively meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Highly accurate, great attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving
  • Great team player, flexible and willing to support others or tasks if required
