The Position:
As a member of the Finance Team, The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for performing daily accounting and finance related tasks including but not limited to: managing financial transactions, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
What You Will Do:
- Manage day to day accounts payable processes, including receiving, reviewing, and processing vendor invoices
- Maintain organized and uptodate file systems for invoices, purchase orders, and payment records
- Reconcile payments with invoices and ensure accuracy in financial records
- Process vendor payments in a timely manner, adhering to payment terms and company policies
- Investigate and resolve queries through the reconciliation of accounts and process adjustments
- Develops strong relationships with both internal and external customers (i.e. within the Finance department, other departments, and vendors)
- Assist the Finance department with filing invoices, matching POs, and verifying billing
- Assists with the ongoing development of AP processes
- Other tasks as required
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance or the equivalent
- Minimum two years of Accounts Payable or related experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment an asset
- Strong computer skills, ability to learn new software, manage multiple databases, including MS Office Suite
- Proven analytical / quantitative skills
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate with different departments
- Thrives in a high volume and fast paced environment with overlapping priorities and deliverables
- Ability to prioritize workload, understand a sense of urgency and effectively meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
- Highly accurate, great attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving
- Great team player, flexible and willing to support others or tasks if required
