    We're looking for an Electrical Engineer (Intermediate) to join one of our GTA or Waterloo offices.

    To be successful, you must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience involved in the design and implementation of electrical systems.

    Completing condition assessments for various facilities including report writing and participation in client meetings.
    # Preparing detailed design drawing packages for projects of varying scale, including some of the following:

    # Electrical system protection and coordination including power system studies
    # MV motor control
    # LV motor control
    # Instrumentation and Control
    # Building services (lighting, security, fire alarm systems, DC systems, grounding, equipment layouts)

    # Completion and review of electrical design calculations.
    # Electrical systems modeling using ETAP, SKM, or Easy Power.
    # Preparation of contract documentation including equipment specifications, cable/conduit schedules, installation specifications, equipment procurement documents, sub-contractor requisitions, scope-of-work, bill-of-materials, and process narratives.
    # Working as part of and potentially leading the electrical project team throughout project phases and monitoring schedule, quality of deliverables, and budgets.
    # Support during tendering and construction including responding to RFIs, assisting GHD and client site personnel, reviewing shop drawings, evaluating electrical reports (short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash, ground potential rise (GPR), harmonics, etc), completing site inspections, preparing testing plans, preparation and evaluation of change orders and participation in project meetings.
    # Preparing and leading electrical-specific meetings with clients presenting design options, system functionality, etc.
    # Coordination of electrical system designs with other engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, civil, structural, vendors, and outside design team members. Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and standards, relevant industry standards, and regulations. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
    ~ Must be a registered member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and possess a license. (Engineering licenses or registration with relevant organizations in other provinces as well as in US states will be considered an asset.
    ~5-10 years of experience involved in the design and implementation of electrical systems including power distribution, standby power & generators, motors and drives, and lighting, as well as a solid understanding of field instrumentation and automated equipment integration. (Fire Alarm systems design experience will be considered an asset.
    ~ Excellent knowledge of Canadian electrical codes and standards, US codes and standards, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
    ~ Well organized, able to multi-task and lead multiple projects. G class driver's license is considered an asset.
