Our dedicated, professional, customer-oriented team will design, engineer, manufacture, install and commission your system. We won't finish until you're completely satisfied with your system.


Key Responsibilities of Role:


  • Plan daily work in order to meet on time completion.
  • Set up and operate spray gun and other equipment required for job.
  • Report any shortage of supplies and consumables to production supervisor in writing.
  • Report all quality concerns to production supervisor.
  • Dispose of all nonconforming parts and material in the appropriately described manner.
  • Respond to common inquiries or problems on project at hand.
  • Plan out area for storage of freshly painted parts to dry with supervisor.
  • Notify supervisor of job completion.
  • Other duties and projects that may be assigned form time to time by the production supervisor.
  • Maintain gun and paint equipment as per manual.
  • Inform purchasing in writing if more paint or consumables are needed prior to running out.
  • Check job write up for proper paint spec and colour.
  • Wet floor prior to painting to control dust from blowing around.
  • Ensure xylene and paint cans are grounded when pouring them to avoid static electricity which could cause a fire.
  • Ensure part being painted is grounded to avoid any shocks.
  • Ensure all material for each job is identified and collected from fitter.

Qualifications

  • Applied Technology course in painting or other related fields.
  • Computer literacy. CNC Control
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or problems on project at hand.
  • Knowledge of the fabricated and machined parts industry and trends impacting its business.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Preferred: 2 years industrial paint experience
  • Preferred: Supervisory or Quality Control Training.
  • Ability to set up and run the following equipment: Paint Gun; Parts Washers; Forklift; Overhead Crane; Power Hand Tools, eg. drills, grinder.

Salary:
$25.00 per hour

Experience:

- industrial painting: 2 years (preferred)
