Drafter
Full time - approx. 40 hours/week

We are looking for a technically minded and detail oriented AutoCAD draftsperson who can be a liaison between the shop and the office.

Responsibilities and Duties

Coordinate activities between backofhouse machine and fabrication shop and frontofhouse design/PM team
Create machine shop drawings, cutting lists and templates for CNC machine, as per the instructions of the design manager
Assist CNC machine operator
Assist with the creation of shop drawings and related work (submittal drawings, installation drawings, as built drawings, material lists)

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD and expert ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
Experience with CNC machines (especially Emmegi machines)
Experience working in a production setting such as an aluminum stick shop is an asset
Experience working on commercial building projects in excess of $150,000 is an asset
Bachelor's degree or diploma from a college or university in a technical area of study is an asset (namely engineering, construction, architecture, industrial design or similar).
Ability to drive or otherwise travel to job sites when needed
Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu
Exceptional written and verbal proficiency in the English language
Exceptional ability to multitask, work well under pressure, solve difficult problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
