Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, charter, cargo and emergency air transportation services to Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for 45 years.

POSITION OVERVIEW


Responsible for overseeing an accounts payable team, directing the processing of invoices and payments, and managing expense accounts and budget reports in a timely manner within company's cashflow guidelines.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and reconcile invoices for payment;
  • Prepare weekly cheque runs, EFT payments and wire transfers
  • Review cheques before forwarding to signing officers;
  • Review A/P aging weekly;
  • Prepare monthly corporate taxes;
  • Prepare and update monthly contractual payments;
  • Prepare monthly journal entries;
  • Balance A/P aging and GL monthly;
  • Post all accruals and JE to GL monthly
  • Prepare account analysis when requested
  • Assist with supplier inquiries;
  • Assist with statement reconciliations;
  • Assist in yearly budgets for several expenses;
  • Assist in capital expenditure reconciliation;
  • Reconcile Credit Card payments
  • Research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries;
  • Supervise and coordinate accounts payable staff;
  • Carry out any other tasks necessary and required by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Accounting or Business Degree an asset;
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in use of MS Office (Excel advanced, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics 36 an asset)

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

  • Work location
  • Air Inuit Technical Center
  • Montreal-Trudeau Airport.
  • The work week is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
