SOV Roofing & Waterproofing is looking for a Building Envelope Consultant/Inspector, or a Building Envelope (Building Science) Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Junior Engineer to join our successful team.
The main role involves building envelope design and field review services for new construction. Salary to be commensurate with qualifications.What to expect from us:

What we expect from you:
- Completion of a degree in an engineering or technology program with a focus on Building Science, Architectural, or Civil / Structural Engineering, Building Envelope Courses or Degree.
- Minimum one year of building envelope experience preferred.
- Experience with local constructions methods and materials.
- Knowledgeable in the field of building science and building envelope design.
- Skilled in technical writing and have excellent communication skills written and oral.
- Takes initiative in fluid situations and helps to resolve challenges.
- Responsible and organized.
- Good attention to detail.
- Experienced with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Planswift.
- To be able to do an estimate.
- Construction field reviews of new and existing buildings.
- Class 5 Driver's license.
- Be able to be collaborate with the field team.
What you are going to do:
- Review building envelope aspects of the construction of new wood framed and concrete buildings.
- Provide enhanced design review, field review.
- Communicate and correspondence with related parties including Developers, Contractors, and Architects and with the field installation team.
- Travel Requirements 25% In office, 75% in field.
