SCHOOL SECRETARY - PICKERING CAMPUS
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The School Secretary is responsible for providing an interface between the community and the school to provide the required secretarial/clerical support to the School in all aspects of its day to day operations.
SCOPE
The secretary must work in a team-based environment and display a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy when dealing with the public, students and staff, volunteers and outside agencies.
The Secretary will work within the established school policies, rules and standards to ensure maximum results are achieved in delivering support services to Blaisdale Montessori schools.
Working collaboratively within the school, the Secretary will demonstrate a strong commitment to the planning for improvement process in support of the school environment, child care, student learning and will report to the school principal.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
A School Secretary at Blaisdale Montessori School shall have the following competencies:

- The ability to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills in dealing with the students, school community, staff and outside agencies
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Effectively perform a wide range of secretarial/clerical duties including records management, preparation of reports and documentation processed within the school office environment
- The ability to multitask and prioritize
- The ability to effectively adapt to changing situations within the workplace
- Have the ability to willingly utilize and adapt to current and changing technologies as required
- Be able to work and communicate effectively within the Blaisdale Montessori School family, with students, parents, community members and external groups such as government agencies
- Be able to maintain and promote confidentiality
- Good communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a diploma/certificate program from a recognized institution in Office Administration/Management, or an acceptable equivalent obtained through relevant job training and experience
Job Types:

Salary:
$38,875.00-$43,500.00 per year
