Elementary Counsellor - Williams Lake - School District No. 27

The Elementary Counsellor will support students in various elementary schools in Williams Lake, including Lac La Hache. Schools will be determined in consultation with the Director of Instruction, Inclusive Education.

Position Details:

• 40% FTE, effective September 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026
• Schedule to be determined in consultation with school administration

Salary: Based on our current salary grid, verification of BC TQS, and years of service from previous employers. Range: $75,112.00 to $109,520.00 per annum, paid over 10 months.

Qualifications:

• Training and experience teaching at the elementary level
• Minimum of three years successful teaching experience
• Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or related field from an institution recognized by the Teacher Regulation Branch, with training in school counselling theory and techniques
• Professional teaching certificate and full membership with the British Columbia Teachers' Federation and Teacher Regulation Branch
• Valid BC Driver's Licence and vehicle available
• Proven ability to work independently
• Knowledge of district and community resources
