Description of the Position:

L'Infirmière/infirmier for injection and infusion services provides specialized infusion and injection treatment services as well as nursing services to non-hospitalized patients with cancer, autoimmune diseases, or rare conditions, either in clinics or at home.

Main Responsibilities:

• Administer medications (IV, IM, and SC) to patients at home or in specialized clinics
• Monitor post-injection/infusion reactions, record and report activities following program protocols
• Provide patient education on program protocols individually or in groups
• Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints as per training and policies
• Ensure regular availability for appointment scheduling and efficient access to necessary treatments
• Coordinate with patients, case managers, physicians, and other departments for appointment scheduling and treatment planning
• Participate in consultations, training sessions, and meetings to uphold professional standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for task delegation and monitoring
• Adhere to established nursing standards and practices
• Perform related tasks as needed

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with valid provincial license
• CPR healthcare provider certificate required
• Minimum three years of nursing experience
• One year of IV and infusion administration experience
• Certifications like ACLS or CVAA are advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Access to necessary tools for appointment management
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and travel for appointments

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer medications in various settings

• Participate in training sessions and maintain professional standards

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant Registered Nurse experience
• 1 year IV initiation experience
• CPR certification
• Experience in critical care, emergency, or homecare settings
• ACLS, CVAA Certification, and central lines/port experience are assets

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Effective leadership and organizational abilities
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
