Accencis Group is looking for a
Financial Controller to join the company as a key business partner to the CEO and the leadership team.

This will be a pivotal role in the company's long-term success and will help develop the foundation for continued growth and scalability.

Being an experienced and strategic leader, the Financial Controller will have complete oversight of the finance and accounting functions, managing a strong team to deliver results.


Job description

Summary of Key Responsibilities_

  • Development of detailed financial models, creating investor presentations, and supporting financial due diligence;
  • Developing annual operating budgets and updated views throughout the year for headcount, revenues, expenses, cash requirements, and balance sheet items;
  • Preparing and issuing monthly financial results, including cash flow projections with comparison to budgets and analysis;
  • Working with outside counsel to manage shareholder documentation including term sheets, subscription documents, share certificates, and maintaining corporate cap table;
  • Developing and enhancing processes for financial operations including expense reporting, vendor management, purchase orders, etc.;
  • Working with external accounting firms to complete annual external financial review and Canadian tax submittals, and ensuring reporting compliance
  • Working with our CEO and sales team to ensure appropriate agreements are in place including mutual NDA's, teaming agreements, development agreements and consultant agreements;
  • Reviewing third party agreements and outside counsel when needed;
  • Preparing Board materials, drafting resolutions (with assistance from outside counsel) and issuing minutes;
  • Supporting shareholders with shareholder agreements and coordinating AGMs;

Skills Required:


  • At least 8 years' business experience within finance and accounting
  • Has strong business acumen working in an entrepreneurial environment building and scaling a business from the groundup
  • Familiarity interacting with outside counsel and accountants;
  • Several years' working with Boards of Directors and contributing to board meetings;
  • Experience within an earlystage company;
  • Strong English verbal, written, negotiation and communications skills;
  • Deep comfort leveraging technology including MS Office and Excel in particular;
  • Financial and/or payroll system experience (QBO or similar);
  • One or more university degrees in finance, accounting and/or business.

Salary:
$80,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
