Faubourg is a renowned French bakery, pâtisserie, and café with two established locations across Vancouver. Over the past 11 years, we have established a reputation for specializing in artisanal French pastries, breads, and viennoiseries, all of which are handmade onsite throughout the year.

We are currently hiring for a baker (that is to work croissant and bread dough -not pastry ) to work at our Central kitchen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as required):

Ensure recipes and standards are followed in regard to taste, presentation, and design
Demonstrate safe food handling practices and follow safety procedures when using equipment and cleaning supplies
Operate and monitor the proper functioning of equipment by following safety procedures and sanitizing work areas during and after use
Work closely with teammates to support in the completion of daily tasks and in the planning and implementation of seasonal menus

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years years pastry experience
A genuine passion and knowledge for croissants and bread
Prior work experience in a high volume production setting with experience in kitchen management
Must be reliable, professional, and teamoriented
Great attention to detail and creativity
Selfstarter, flexible, and able to work independently; ability to multitask and ask for support when needed
Organized and able to work under pressure with a diverse group of people
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Maintain an organized and clean prep/work area
Dependable and hardworking
Must be able to assist others as needed
