As a key member of the PDHIS senior leadership team, actively contributes to the overall strategic planning of the PDHIS portfolio and is accountable for the attainment of PDHIS mandates and priorities, including product and service roadmaps for all products, projects, and systems that are regional in nature.

This role is a valued member of a cross-functional team of leaders within PDHIS, and leads engagement with the senior executive leadership teams of VPP and their respective Boards of Directors, and collaborates closely and is a partner to other senior leaders within the PDHIS portfolio.

The CRDS role is a results and service oriented leader for the health organizations it serves, with a proven ability to drive and sustain changes within a complex multi-entity operating environment.

The CRDS role communicates a clear vision and develops an aligned strategy and roadmap in support of the regional organizations' mandate.

What you'll do

Works as an executivelevel leader and as a key member of the PDHIS senior leadership. In collaboration with VPP Executive Leadership Teams develops and implements organizational strategic objectives related to digital health and information technology. Works to ensure digital solutions are aligned to the organizations' business needs.
Leads the development, planning and implementation of a regional digital solutions strategy, as well as organizational digital strategies for Vancouver Coastal, Providence Health Care, and PHSA, in alignment with the overarching PDHIS strategy.
Oversees and leads the development, delivery, maintenance and sustainment of significant and complex clinical and business systems that directly support the delivery of health care services by the VPP health authorities. Negotiates and facilitates consensus within and between the executives and senior leaders of the VPP and other related groups. Contributes to and participates in the prioritization of products and projects, in conjunction with other senior leaders within the PDHIS portfolio.
Works with the Clinical Steering Committee and associated governance to oversee the integration of the lower mainland Clinical and System Transformation (CST) Project within the VPP organizations and the ongoing roadmap of the CST Cerner solution (common electronic health record), working in conjunction with Clinical Informatics teams across VPP.
Provides overall product portfolio leadership for regional digital technology solutions to generate value and improve services for patients, providers, and business users. Provides leadership and guidance to product owners and product teams within the portfolio and ensures that priority products and projects are effectively resourced and delivered. Empowers and enables product owners to deliver regional solutions using modern, leading product management practices. This includes innovating new products, as appropriate, in collaboration with senior clinical and business leaders across VPP.
Engages and works collaboratively with senior executive leaders at Vancouver Coastal, Providence Health Care, and PHSA to advance initiatives of strategic importance to those organizations; builds and manages stakeholder networks and systems; collaborates with the members of SLT and other senior leaders on an ongoing basis to ensure the synergies and intersections are managed and prioritized. Collaborates with other PHSA teams, including across the PDHIS portfolio, as well as privacy, risk management, finance, and others as appropriate from across the VPP organizations.
Oversees IT workforce management, including sourcing, recruitment, training and development of staff, and engagement for regional digital solutions across VPP. Ensures that human resource plans within the portfolio address the recruitment and retention issues for the organization.
Implements IT continuousimprovement programs within enterprise guidelines for regional digital solutions across VPP.
Stays current with developments in new techn
