The
Student Estimator is responsible for providing support to the Estimating team for the accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates for projects, including materials and labour.
- Aid in preparing estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work
- Assist in the establishment of unit costs, labour rates, productivity factors and location
- Help maintain files of working documents as backup for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations to management and clients
- Support the estimating team as required.

Qualifications
-
Current Engineering Student - Civil/Construction discipline is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
