What You Will Get To Do

Reporting to the Commissioner of Financial Services, the Financial Services Clerk is responsible for providing support functions for the Financial Services department, including:

  • Records retention and file management;
  • Creation of purchase requisitions/orders on behalf of the department, including office supplies;
  • Data entry, reconciliation, and assist in the financial reporting of Groveside Cemetery transactions and lease of Townowned properties;
  • Remediation of documents to comply with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requirements;
  • Work on Town website updates related to the department;
  • Pickup of bank correspondence and distribution of department mail and assist with courier deliveries;
  • Maintain the department's Committee and Council report listing and setup reports in eScribe;
  • Assist with the Annual Budget process;
  • Track, prepare correspondence and cheque requisitions for annual municipal grants to external agencies approved in the budget;
  • Provide Customer Service functions for the Financial Services department, including receiving resident/customer inquiries and providing responses; and
  • Other general clerical duties as assigned.
