Job Summary:


As a
Surgery Technician for our Veterinary Services team in
Senneville (West of Montreal), you will be responsible to perform technical, perioperative, and surgical activities while maintaining aseptic and sterile conditions throughout the procedures.

Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

In this role, primary
responsibilities include:


  • Perform various preoperative and postoperative procedures and care (surgery room preparation, injections, and anesthesia monitoring)
  • Perform simple to moderate difficulty surgeries and sterile assistant procedures
  • Perform postoperative followups, with the guidance of experienced surgeons

Key Elements:

We are looking for the following minimum
qualifications for this role:

  • College Diploma in Animal Health (newly graduated technicians are welcome, we will train you and prepare you for everything you need)
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes and good stress management
  • Good dexterity and attention to details
  • Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)
  • Understanding of written English is mandatory. Bilingualism French and English is preferable
  • Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company._

Role Specific Information:


  • Location: Senneville / Free parking / Shuttle service from Sainte-AnneDe-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site
  • Salary: Starting at 22.50$/hrs. Opportunity to start at higher level and higher salary with specific research experience
  • Annual bonus based on performance
  • Schedule: Mostly daytime Monday to Friday. Depending on the needs, infrequent weekend work and overtime may be requested
  • Permanent, fulltime position as of the hiring 37.5hrs per week
