Alimentaria Mexicana, located in the heart of Granville Island is currently looking for an energetic supervisor to join our team of industry professionals, working in a high volume and busy spot.


At Alimentaria, we are passionate about providing an exciting and educational experience on Mexican culture and cuisine by utilizing natural and organic products ethically sourced from native Mexican farms.

We produce tacos made with heirloom corn, fresh salsas, ceviches, aguachiles, tostadas, churros, mulitas, and much more, working with meat and seafood sourced locally.


Duties Include:


  • General daily restaurant operations
  • Assisting with planning and organizing events and promotions
  • Placing orders and maintaining inventory
  • Promoting a positive work environment and culture by creating and maintaining strong and supportive relationships with all staff
  • Responsible for assigning and supervising all opening and/or closing duties
  • General serving duties, including taking orders, clearing tables, and providing recommendations based on customer preferences

Your experience and skills include:


  • A minimum of 1 year of recent restaurant experience in a management or supervisor capacity
  • Experience in providing training and development
  • Experience in operating POS systems (Auphan, Push & Tock)
  • Serving it right
  • Bartending and beverage knowledge is an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays
