Maintenance and Machining Technician

Maintenance and Machining Technician is responsible of Maintenance of the Machines on Fabrication Shop and assist to repair different machines including Manual Milling Machines and Boring Mill and works on the Manual Machine to make parts while all machines are running.

Responsibilities
What you will be doing as
Maintenance and Machining Technician:

Communicate and work effectively with work-team members and other members of the company
Understand and comply with the worker responsibilities and rights as outlined in the OccupationalHealth and Safety Act (OH&S) of Ontario, as well as, the Company's safety rules
Read and interpret manuals and drawings and specifications of Machinery and repair them
Test completed fabricationmachines for proper operation
Impress diagnose of trouble with fabrication machines
Make repairs/adjustments quickly
Practice safe conduct, including operation of electrical devices, cutting equipment, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
Operate fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, and band saw to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials
Check measurements and dimensions of each piece that's being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes or squares
Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
Regularly checking products for quality and basic troubleshooting
Working in a team environment
Build strong crossfunctional relationships across operations
Sorting and packing parts and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a
Maintenance and Machining Technician:
Certificate/License in a related trade is an advantage
Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Applicant must have own tools
Ability to assemble tools and all tool room equipment as needed
Work boots or shoes required
Able to repeatedly lift up to 25lbs (10 kg).
Comfortable working in a loud fabrication environment (hearing protection provided)
