Job Summary
Reporting to the Professional Development Senior Administrator, the Professional Development Assistant
is responsible for providing overall administrative support to the PD team to ensure the successful delivery
and upkeep of CPABC's PD program. This includes seminar evaluations, AV and department equipment
support, and course material formatting and documentation.


Key Responsibilities:


Seminar Evaluation Support

  • Consolidate and review completed evaluations for data integrity in preparation of further review
by PD management team;

  • Compile annual seminar evaluation reports for PLDP group;

AV Equipment & Course Material Support

  • Monitor weekly schedule of courses and organize a print schedule to ensure inventory of course
materials are sufficient;

  • Print, prepare, coordinate, ship and track course material and handout shipments to venues,
troubleshooting and resolving issues with couriers as required;

  • Allocate and track AV equipment required for inperson seminars, ensuring items are properly
shipped, documented, returned and stored;

Departmental Support

  • Monitor performance of department printers, following up with service technicians and ordering
printer supplies as required;

  • Receive and track return of Sign-In Sheets from all PD courses and updating member attendance
record;

  • Provide onsite support at course venues (e.g. delivering required materials, packing up AV
equipment, etc.) as needed;

  • Provide general administrative support to the PD team as required; and
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
**Key Requirements: - Post-Secondary qualification or relevant experience;

  • One (1) plus years of experience in an office administration, event support or customer service
- capacity, or similar function;
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint);
  • Familiarity with Survey Monkey or another survey tool would be an asset;
  • Prior experience with data entry or database administration would be an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum

- supervision;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational and time management skills;
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking and research skills with the ability to problem solve.
