We are looking for a critical thinking Business Analyst with experience in HR or delivering HR projects. Our team is working on a multi-year transformation to improve our employee experience and the technologies we use. You will collaborate with our business stakeholders and other analysts to translate business requirements into system configuration.

Here's how a HR Business Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:


Responsibilities:


  • Gather, document, design, and validate business system user requirements
  • Partner with HR process leads to analyze current state processes and promote recommendations for system/process improvement
  • Create and maintain business requirements and design training documentation and materials
  • Manage and lead training rollouts
  • Develop use case scenarios, user stories, and training material
  • Provide robust, customer centric support to all users
  • Lead UAT, track issues, report status, and gain signoff on user acceptance
  • Define requirements for HR reporting and analytics
  • Test the system configuration from a user perspective to identify software issues
  • Understand HR requirements, strategies, best practices, processes and business outcomes
  • Knowledge of Success Factors is considered an asset

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in human resources, information management, information technology, business administration, computing science, or a related discipline.
  • Certification from Business Analyst Body of Knowledge (BABOK) or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), or equivalent preferred.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in a related field.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively with employees at all levels and areas of the organization.
  • Ability to independently conduct effective meetings and give presentations in support of various projects and deliverables.
  • Experience with advanced system troubleshooting.
