    Description
    Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Application Support
    Technician is an IT professional who helps a business solve its application and system
    issues. This position must possess a deep understanding of how the systems work and
    perform troubleshooting systems, responding to assistance requests and handling
    technical issues.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Primary point of contact for project and work vendors.
    • Responsible for monitoring and responding to open tickets submitted through
    Connect Wise.


    • Troubleshoot and escalate alerts that cannot be resolved to appropriate section.
    • Prioritize and handle service requests and incidents.
    • Progress issues and provide relevant information for troubleshooting or for
    clarification.


    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to departmental
    initiatives.


    • Responsible for improving and documenting the technical processes around
    application support and Service desk.


    • Work collaboratively with Account Managers on change requests, managing
    issues and establishing priorities.


    • Handle late night and weekend emergency support as required.
    • Resolve system problems.
    • Ensure the performance of daily health checks of the applications, scripts, and
    infrastructure are optimal.


    • Responsible for installing, configuring, and administering application servers.
    • Responsible for the set-up and configuration of application server.
    • Responsible for optimizing business processes for many departments.
    • Develop scripts working with team to automate repeatable manual tasks.
    • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving application or infrastructure issues.
    • Familiar with the FAMOUS integration process.
    • Responsible for ensuring FAMOUS is functional and updates have been
    implemented

    • Familiar with Famous Inventory and dry goods
    • Provide suggestion to improve Data visibility across all sites
    • Proficient understanding of Cisco networking hardware, concepts, installation,
    configuration, and troubleshooting.


    • Familiar with Citrix and Terminal Services.
    • Knowledge of ERP software and technology
    • Ability to install, configure, operate, and maintain Operating Systems including
    Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESXi 7.0, & Linux.


    • Ability to support a Dell & Lenovo desktop/laptop environment with an emphasis
    on customer service.


    • Operational knowledge of Active Directory, DNS and VMware vCenter.
    • Windows PowerShell knowledge.
    • Knowledge of Mobile application and mobile devices, such as Mac laptop,
    iPhone, Samsung.

    Requirements and Skills

    • A Bachelor's Degree, college diploma or certificate in Computer Science,
    Network Technologies, or related discipline required.


    • A minimum of three (3) years' experience providing IT Support required.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server, computer hardware,
    printer hardware, peripherals, and email systems issues.


    • Strong networking knowledge and experience (preferred)
    • Project management skills and the ability to handle different tasks
    simultaneously.


    • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention
    to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skills.


    • Able to work in a team environment with individuals of all leadership styles,
    personalities, and career levels.


    • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of private information.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be a high energy individual who is self-motivated.
    • On-call flexibility required.
    • Other core expectations as defined by the company.

    Working conditions

    • Hours of work may vary depending on business needs; ability and willingness to
    travel with no travel restrictions

    • This job operates within a refrigerated warehouse, where temperatures range
    from 45-55°F. The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to
    packaging machinery, and forklift truck operation.


    • Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones,
    photocopiers and filing cabinets. Specific vision capabilities required; the
    employee is to work in front of a computer, sitting for prolonged periods.


    • The position may involve lifting to 30-pounds, occasionally up to 50-pounds.
