Accounting Clerk - Calgary, Canada - BLCO Enterprises Ltd. o/a KFC / Taco Bell

This is a contract position with a possibility of permanent full-time placement.About the company:
BLCO is a large KFC and Taco Bell franchise operator in Western Canada. We currently own and operate 27 KFC and Taco Bell restaurants across British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. BLCO is a division of the C21 Development Group and proud to employ more than 700 team members.
The Position:
- Entering invoices in the company's webbased accounting software program,
- Verify sales and payment data from our stores,
- Follow up with vendors and other stakeholders to confirm information,
- Reconcile the transactions in the accounting software with data from outside sources, and
- Assist the Controller with various accounting tasks as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience is an asset, but we also encourage new graduates to apply. We train
- Strong attention to detail,
- Ability and desire to investigate accounting anomalies,
- Strong written and verbal communication skills,
- Ability to work well as part of an online, collaborative team,
- Intermediate knowledge of MS programs including Outlook, Excel and Word, and
- Familiarity with and understanding of:
- Accounting concepts and principles
- Research strategies and analytical thinking
Salary:
$50,000.00 per year
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
